and i asked him what he thought of me, he said he cant now for a certain reason, he hopes we will still be friends for now , reason is he just broke up with his GF.

this is confusing you asked him what he thought of you and he couldn't now? . What did he thought of you? and he just broke up but he wants to stay a friend. Did he say he liked you? and how long will it take for him to know when he can be your boy friend? OK yes he's cute. my head hurts

I'm sure that's it. Get to know him on a friendship level, and she what happens. However, it's not fun being a rebound girlfriend, so be careful. I'd move ahead. There are SO many guys out there. You'll find yours. Believe in fate, he's somewhere thinking about you too!!
