I can't speak for "everyone," but I can speak for myself, dear one. I don't have any desire to change what other people believe in, I only have a desire to tell others about Jesus. It's up to them to decide where they want to spend eternity.
God bless!

I'm not quite sure.
I constantly face others that feel I should convert to their beliefs.
But, I never will; they fail to comprehend that.
In my opinion, everything that has occurred thus far in my life has contributed to who I am today. The tiny details affect the small details, which affect the medium details, in turn affecting the large details, which compose my life.
If any millisecond of my life had gone differently, there is potential that I could be a completely different person.
Because of this, I don't feel that any words are enough to change my beliefs.
Also, one thing to consider, is that there either IS a God, or there ISN'T. Arguing over it, and converting others, won't change anything; it's ALREADY decided.
If there is or ever will be a God, it has happened already.
If there is not and never will be a God, it has happened already.
No matter how many we convert to our beliefs, or how adamently we argue, it's ALREADY decided.
It makes no difference.
I don't appreciate letters of attempted conversion, but I accept the attempts. I'm not harsh in reply unless they give me a reason to; for instance, harassing me, or being overly rude. And I'm willing to hear ANYONE'S opinion, as long as it is within reason.

I dont want to change anyones beliefs/religion. Everyone should believe and worship who and how they want. Free-will is a gift and should be cherished. No one should ever push ones belief system on another. Faith is a very personal thing. The only thing I ask of others is to respect one another and the Earth.

Either for noble or hideous motives. Jesus wants us to change our bad beliefs. The devil feels the same way too about our good beliefs. As far as the diverse churches are concerned, each believe they have a monopoly of the truth. Uncivilized remarks about others, however, imply that one may be out of synch with the truth.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but I study the Bible and I feel I know God and Jesus Christ well enough to know right teaching from wrong and if another believes in something I know not to be true, I will point it out, depending on the other person's ability to understand it without jumping all over me!!!
We are not supposed to cast our pearls before swine!!! But if someone doesn't know something, God can use me to point out the knowledge to them. God loves it and the angels in Heaven rejoice when we turn someone in the right direction. God does not want to destroy any of His precious souls, but He will have to destroy many. Jesus wants us to be good people by example and teach others. So I do what I can!
Have a great day. May God bless you. And thank you for the kind of question I love!!!

Don't worry about what everyone else wants to change. Think of this: I give thanks every day that I am not charged with any responsibility to save a single soul, to change anyone's belief, or even to bring anyone to Christ. Those works are the works of the Holy Spirit. It is up to me only to proclaim Christ and let God do the rest. For those who choose not to hear my testimony, I kick the dust from my shoes at their door.

No one should try to do that, and really no one can. There is nothing wrong with having discussions about your beliefs and hearing other peoples point of view on them, this does not mean that you have to change your way or your view of it. Unless you are absolutly convinced and have proven it to your satisfaction. Peace

I think it's because they don't really believe it themselves but they feel there is safety in numbers, that they will all support each other through their nagging doubts.
If you really believe you don't have to say anything, your life becomes an extension of your faith.
Other people are just on a nasty power trip, you can really screw people up if you can convince them that God's will is involved. Always remember let them drink the cool-aid first.

I do not want to nor am I capable of changing people or their beliefs. No one has to answer to me, they will however give an account to God.

I am Pagan and I support everyone's right to believe what they believe. That's more than can be said for the Christian attitude to Paganism. The thing about religion is that it was supposed to help us to love one another. Sadly, the opposite is true.
