There are tons of things you can do with it. When you straighten it, you could flip out the ends. That always looks cute.
You can have a really choppy layered look by first blowdrying with a round brush, then straightening.
You could wear it curly and have different length of curls; I do that sometimes and it looks really cute.
Or you could style it scene in which you would need bedhead manipulator and hairspray. :]

I have med. layerd hair and I straighten it and then hair spray the roots so its really volumous. I will put a small poof/ faux mo at the top and straighten the rest. l'll put half up and half down and poof up the back and pull a few front stands down. Hope this helps.

i think long layered hair looks great curled.. grow it out
