What do you mean by 'faith based ' religion? As far as I know, ALL religions are based on faith.
Even some aspects of 'science' are based on faith. How else would someone take a single pig's tooth and construct an early man from it? That was, of course, the now-infamous Nebraska Man. And then there was the Piltdown Man.

I alway hope, that people have faith in, that which they have a high degee of confidence in. I wish people would challenge each indiovidual idea they believe in, and try to believe the best spiritual ideas out there, no matter the source, even if from an individual. We need a better world than we have now spiritually, and we must be open to all that will work. We can not be cherry picking ideas, that only agree with our own preconceived notions. Religion can make a difference in this world, but it must be willing to admit it is not perfect, and needs to update its spiritual ideas, to adjust to this much more complicated world we live in.
