my cat is 1 yr 7 mnths old, he has been fit and healthy up until 5 days ago wen he started vomiting. the vet said she could feel 'lumps' in his belly, something to do wit possible swollan glands. he had lost weight. now 5 days later he has ballooned and put on so much weight, he went from 3.6 to 4.3 in 5 days. they want to do scans and blood tests for lukemia and aids etc, so is going back monday morning. im 36 weeks pregnant got barely any money but am petrified he will die, i will find the money to help him if it kills me. has anyone had a similar thing wrong and it all been ok?? cant stop crying, love him sooo much x

I feel for you, but unfortunately you will have to wait until the blood tests and scans come back. If you don't have much money and are on income support, you may be able to take him to the Pdsa and they will do the blood tests and scan for you. There is obviously something very wrong with your cat and as much as you love him, you wouldn't want him to suffer. Let the vet do the tests etc., and only then will you know what to do next. I am sorry I am unable to help you, but it does sound very serious. Good luck with your baby and try not to worry.

I had the same problem, well nearly the same. My cat was 6 years old, 3 months ago she started vomiting also, we took her to the vets for the second time and he also found a lump. She was very sick and wasn't eating, she ballooned so much . We then took her to the RSPCA where she had a blood test , and then an X ray. The next day she had an operation, we had to put her down after the op , there wasn't even 1% chance that she could survive. I still cry, I miss her so much.
Take your cat to a charity vets, RSPA , Blue Cross etc. Please don't let your cat suffer.

I can sympathize, Sweetness. And certainly your kitty is in some major trouble.
The important thing right now is that you don't lose it: That will scare your cat even worse, and interfere with your ability to think. Try sitting down with something like a cup of tea or a mug of hot chocolate.
I can't promise that your cat will make it. But talk with your vet about suggestions. And try to make your kitty as comfortable as you can.
Good luck.

oh try not to worry to much love. cats are very good at bouncing back, i had a kitten called smokey when he was 6 years old he lost one of his front legs was mauled by 2dogs critical for a couple of weeks went on to live until he was 22 had all sorts of things wrong with him cost a fortune but but vets are so much better than doctors they will pull your cat round

I wish I could tell you he is going to be fine, but the best thing to do would be to have the tests done to be sure...have you ever heard of care credit? it is a credit card to help with medical bills...you can apply at carecredit.com...good luck i hope he is fine
