He is very quiet and tends to stay in the same spot for hours just staring and is moving slowly. Seems to be in pain also around his belly. He had his adult boosters yesterday.

Vet said when he was in he may "Have a fever" for a couple of days. At least he urinated a little bit ago so he's not blocked there... But he has hardly touched his food since 3 hours or so since we got back yesterday.

Mine had her first shots a couple of weeks ago. She was fine that night, but by the next morning, was completely spaced out and didn't know what day it was. She didn't look like she could focus and didn't have the energy to get up. I did get a little worried about her not eating or drinking, so tried to persuade her to (unsuccessfully). Early evening, she finally had a little to eat and drink and went back to bed for the rest of the night. By the next morning, she was nearly back to her old self, if a little subdued. I would keep an eye on him and if in the morning he is no better, ring the vets for advice.

If the non eating goes on more than a day the vet needs to be updated, this is too unusual and needs to be checked. Most cats are 'off' for a day, sleeping for a good amount of time but they bounce right back usually after 24 hours. If it goes longer, you may be looking at a problem and should consult with the vet, or get a second opinion if the vet blows it off as something ok--two days, or three with the cat not themself is a severe reaction to the vaccine and they need to be looked at again.

The rabies vaccination is particular can make a cat feel punk for 24 hours. Anything beyond that (if cat doesn't start eating, moving around, etc.) and he must go to a vet.

It is not a good idea to give a cat more than one vaccine at a time. So if you must vaccinate in the future take your cat in another time (about three weeks later) to split them up.

Agreed with Princess. Sometimes a pet is a little bit sore after vaccinations for about 24 hours, but your cat sounds like he's more than just a little sore: I've never had a kitty slow down like THAT after shots.
