My pastor said that I should spread the word but what if I'm bad at it?

I'm not that smart really and I never know what to say. And plus people at my school don't like to talk about God for some reason.

Your pastor is right about one thing, Jesus commanded us to spread the word Mathew 28:18,19. But you need to know what to spread. The message that Jesus spread was that God's kingdom was near, that people should repent and change their ways and learn about God's will for the earth. They should be making their minds over and study the bible and teach other people to do the same. You start at John 17:3, how can you spread anything until you know what to spread.
For example Jesus said at Mathew 5:5 that the meek would inherit the earth, he said this because he knew that his father had promised this at Psalms 37:9-11,29.
He taught the truth and that's one reason they killed him.
The bible has all the answers to peoples questions, so as you grow and learn, just keep asking questions, then you will find the truth and be able to spread it.
What ever you do remember that the bible is inspired of God and it should be the finial authority when questions arise.
To teach someone the truth means to teach accurate bible knowledge, that's why we need to test the things we think we know against the scriptures and keep the truth, but pitch out the lies.

First of all, learn more about your beliefs. Learn for yourself and so you can spread the word. Look into starting a religious club at your school. I have one at my school, and it is just amazing. It is really great to meet other people at your school with the same beleifs. You become a close family that supports eachother at school. It is great to know that there are other people at school that love God too. Ask your principle if you can start the club, but first you need to find a suprovisor. You dont need them to run the club, they just need to be present whenever ht eclub is, before or after school on whatever days. You could plan what would be read and what you would do. Having the club has really helped me bring God into my life more. School life and church life are soemtimes hard to connect because the people there are so drastically different, but once you meet other people who love God just as much as you do, things start coming together. The club this year has done several things to spread the word. We hand out tracts on wednesdays outside of school. People are mostly nice about it. We are having a free bake sale that will tell people about God. We are also doing other things to help our community. It is a great and fun way to spread the word and it is also helpful to have people to support you while doing it. Please look into starting this club at your school, or even find out if you already have one.

sometimes the best way to spread the wod is to be an example of a good christian. maybe read on a few topics that you really like with spiritual application. then ask others what they believe on the topic......after they are done- tell them your research conclusions and how you got to the conclusion. the word will spread that you know a lot. sometime later, people will come to you with their questions and seek your thoughts ont heir spirtual concerns. dont put so much effort into trying to bring up conversations at first though- put your efforts into being well grounded in what you believe.

Just live as a Christian, set the example of how a Christian lives, and you will spread the Word better than hypocritical pastors who like to put folks on guilt trips.

You know, speading the word of God doesn't always involve speach at first. If you acting as a good Christian, others will see this, and ask you how do you smile when times are tough, how is it that you have the curage to stand up for the weak, how is it that you give so much of yourself and expect so little. They will ask you and you then will be a witness for you lord and savior.

Remember growing closer to God does not come from owning a Bible
You actually need to read it from the beginning to understand the nature of God. Don't foget as you read it to notice what group of people He is talking to.

There are many ways to spread the word. God will give you the words in times of need. In the meantime you can spread the word by example. Do what you think Jesus would have you to do if he were you.

Spreading the Word does not maen going around preaching.

The WORD (from the Greek Logos) is Jesus Christ (bibliolaters (those that practice bibliotary (bible worship) seem to forget that.)

When you spread the Word you spread Christs love: through your actions, love of man, helping people. The way you live your life. You don't talk the talk, you walk the walk. THAT expresses God and brings his presence to those around you!

Just tell people that you are a Christian, and that Jesus saved you. It will get easier as you grow spiritually, and in knowledge of His Word.

Study the bible. The more you learn, the stronger you grow.

Someone once said, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything". Stand firm for your beliefs. If someone asks you something you don't know how to answer, admit that you are unsure. Then, go find the answer and go back to them. It is all part of growing in faith.

When he said to spread the word , you might have misunderstood him . He might have meant to spread that big pile of stinky stuff up in the garden .
Just take a barrn fork and throw it around in an even layer .
