I really care about my girlfriend and I love her dearly and smoking is a huge turnoff for me mainly because I want her to live a long and healthy life. She doesn't smoke around me. If she were smoking cigarettes and I went to kiss her would I be able to taste it? I kiss her all the time and its "making out" not just a peck on the lips? Would someone be able to taste the breath of a marijuana smoker? Thanks!

I see what you're saying, but some people are more inclined to die from the failure of certain bodily organs than others. It's just genetics. Those who live to great ages and have smoked for years must have incredibly robust organs. For some of us, though, it's thought better that we inhale as little smoke as possible, whatever the source. I guess it's just a precaution for the more vulnerable people. There will always be people who live to 100 and have smoked for many years, but there will also be people who's lungs are, maybe, a little weaker to begin with. These people's deaths could be put down to secondhand smoke inhalation. I suppose you could say they may have died anyway. We just don't know, but precaution will always be the advice they are given. Good question btw. It does throw up a good debate.

I've never kissed anyone who's smoked, but I'm pretty sure that you'd be able to taste it. My boyfriend had to work around smokers until recently, and while it was faint, I could still taste it when we kissed. He doesn't smoke. So logically, yeah, you'd find out what she's smoking by making out.

And in this case, throw out the "You shouldn't change to one you love". You shouldn't force her to stop, no, but I'd suggest you talk to her about it for her own good. I know a lot of people don't go further than pot, but then I know there are people who do because of it.

But how to solve it?... I need answers! Scope doesn't do it... just covers up the smell/ taste for awhile.

I smoked at 8:00 a.m. (2 cigs) and 1 about 1:00 (1 cig.) Have a date in 6 hours (at 7:00.) I used TheraBreath & Scope now, and I'm going to buy some of the Parsely capsules suggested below, but what else can I do? I want this GONE in 6 hours!

i don't know about marjuana, but average cigarettes - u surely would. it stinks like hell. but after a while stench disappears. chewing gum helps too. so if she doesn't smoke around u and chews gum after she smokes - u will not be able to detect it

ps. was reading what others wrote - well, if they were dating a chain smokers who smoke inside a house with windows closed - yes, then all clothes and hair stink. but if a person is not a chain smoker and smokes only a few a day and smokes in an open air - u will not sniff anything after 30 min. this is my personal experience. my hubby smokes a few cigs a day

Are you sure you're kissing the smoker?

Yes, you can notice the difference. And it's gross. Tell her to smoke one a few hours before you get together, and then try. Better yet, have her smoke one right before you try to make out with her. I bet you can't finish that night.

Being an Ex-smoker myself I can say that, Yes, smokers breath DOES exist and is almost impossible to hide. If you don't taste anything when you are Muggin' down like smoke than it is almost guaranteed she doesn't smoke.

There is going to be some residual aroma of anything you ingest with your mouth. Onions, Alcohol, Tobacco, Herb, etc... anything can be slightly or abundantly detected. I personally dont object to the smell or taste from my girlfriends breath, but to answer your question....yes....she has smokers breath. Yes, you can tell. She is a weed monkey too. I like it better than whiskey breath.....much better.

Definitely you'll be able to smell & taste the cig on her mouth.
And it really feels as if you're kissing an ashtray if your partner is a smoker!! I have that problem with my partner!! If you know what pot smells like, you'd be able to detect it. Convince & persuade her to stop smoking. Otherwise, accept her..cigs & all or get another girlfriend!!! Good luck!
