I agree with Michael P. In that pain that continues often leads to disappointment, and despair. However, I have also learned, as did Job that we should give thanks whether times are good, or BAD, whether we are healthy or ill, whether we are rich or in dire need. God hears us, no matter the "position" we take, it is the "heart" condition that He cares about! There are those that for one reason or another can not take any other position, (Joni Eriksontada, for example) but God KNOWS that, and we MUST remember that it is our relationship with Jesus that matters most! Spending time, reading His Word, and talking with Him as if (because He really IS!) He is your closest & very bestest Friend!
Jesus desires our love & that special relationship, more than a "sense" of humility. Our hearts & minds present the "humility" that is truly required!
May our Lord and Savior surround you with His ever-present Love, and abundant blessings!

Sister Judy:)
Praise the Lord that we can come forward with boldness before the Throne of Grace and find mercy and grace to help in time of need. The Lord knows that our most sincere prayer is said out of an inward being that is prone and prostrate before Him. Outwardly if we do it, but inwardly do not match that outward position then we are truly fooling ourselves.
We see in the bible that we should pray IN the Holy Spirit and pray from our spirit to God:)
Hallelujah.
The kind of pray that truly affects God in giving Him a way to move is the prayer that ushered from our spirits. He sees the heart and knows everything about us.
If physical pain hinders you from kneeling I do not believe that the Lord will shut His ears to your prayer. He gives heed to the humble and resists the proud. If our heart is humble before Him, if our spirit is open to Him, and every high thought and imagination brought under His headship, then it matters not how we are physically, what truly matters is where we are spiritually in His eyes.

Good Question sister. We need to remember to bear each other in prayer for all the physical pains and discomforts. May we all have a way to press forward in prayer for the Lord to have a greater way to move and work on the earth as it is in the heavens.

Ty sister
IN Christ

I am very depressed myself right now and have had suicidal thoughts at times. Everyone has these thoughts at some time in their life. I want you to stop and think about what your Mom would feel if she knew you were thinking of doing harm to yourself. You say no one loved you like she did, well her life had a purpose and that is you. You are still very young and will eventually find someone to make a life with and you can still have children by adoption. The first thing you need to do is call a local crisis center so they can hook you up with the help you need and deserve. Tell you aunt how you are feeling and let her help you get some help asap. You may qualify for help without having to pay anything. As far as jumping off a building , I think you will feel a lot as you are falling, regret and fear and then pain .

I can't pray on my knees any more either, but that doesn't stop me from praying, I pray alot laying down with my face covered and some just sitting with my head bowed and my eyes closed, The good Lord knows your heart and knows the reasons you do what you do so just keep on Praying, Pray without ceasing, 1Thes.5:17

You can be "on your knees" without being able to get down on your knees. It is the humbleness of your spirit that God sees and honors. He knows everyone's condition and takes that into consideration. There are a lot of haughty prideful people that pray "on their knees".

Pray anywhere and in any position you want. ie. in the chair, standing at the kitchen counter, or laying in your bed. It doesn't matter to God how you pray or what you look like when your doing it as long as you do it. When we praise God with hymns we are standing. We stand for the reading of Gods word. Why can't we stand to pray? GOD BLESS!!!

At first it increases prayer, but with time and discouragement, pain makes it harder to pray.
