try rinsing it out some more or blink a lot so you cry it out, then call your doctor or eye doctor if it keeps hurting

Dear Pain-in-Eye:

What does the container for the facial wash say to do in such a situation?

Rinse with preferably filtered water and hold open the eye. If there is exfoliating grit, such as ground walnuts, in the facial wash, fill a cleaned sink or bowl with cool water and dunk your opened eye in it to dislodge this grit, which should sink to the bottom of the container or sink.

The crying is natural: dab with new tissue each time.

And return the facial wash to the store regardless if you still have the receipt and get your money back or a credit. I have no problem making a public stink about something that's hurt me or was spoiled!

And write a letter to the manufacturer immediately! Include any special batch or expiration numbers.

make sure you are not touching it, and you are blinking a lot. If the blinking isn't helping to much, then hold your eye lid carefully and hold it over the bottom, like stretch it down, just a little...make sure water is commign from your eye

Ouch!

Rinse rinse rinse and rinse some more. And get someone to take you to the ER: Some of those facial wash chemicals can be vicious.

Feel better!

Keep on rinsing it, and then put some ice on it to keep the burn away.
