how much it is. Candy, Chocolate and Sugar are very bad for dogs. If he won't give it to you take it out of his mouth with your hand. he may run but trick him into a corner. its better than him getting sick. you can also ask him if he wants something else, like a treat.

A piece of candy will not hurt your dog. Sweets are not good for their teeth or digestive system if they get too much or get dark/bakers chocolate (very lethal in dogs).
It may help to get in the habit of making sure all treats are put up where your dog cannot reach them in the future. We have a dog, lab mix that will take things out of our purses or bags and eat them. We have learned to make sure these items are always out of reach!

Be firm and get into his mouth and take it out. If he growls, let him know who's boss. Say "drop it" when you do this and any other time you are taking something out of his mouth...he will eventually learn what that means and he should eventually learn to open his mouth and release what it is he has in his mouth.

your going to have to force it out. grasp his top jaw with one hand and his lower with your other (keep your fingers out the way)
it should fall out.
another option is to put a bowl of food on the floor (or a treat) then hopfully he will have to drop the candy to eat his food

Grab his muzzle and force it from him or he'll get sick.
If he's bad, to discipline him don't smack him, but use two fingers and give a slightly forceful tap on the nose.
