Who Dude, The wiring diagram was changed around that year. There is a service bulletin on it. It simply states that due to the fact that induction from one firing plug wire crosses over to other wires, the wires need to be separated as much as possible. It had a diagram to do that. However all you need to do is try to space them apart as much as possible.and run the coil wire away from the plug wires and down the side of the plenum and to the coil. That's all you need. The firring order is 18436572 going clock wise at the distributor starting at the hole marked with a 1. Just keeping the wires separated as much as possible is all you need.

It's simple. The cylinders are numbered from front on drivers side,1,3,5,7. The passenger side is numbered from front to rear also 2,4,6,8. The firing order is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2. The distributor turns clockwise when viewed from above, and the #1 terminal on cap should be marked and towards the front of eng. If you got mopar wire set from dealer, the wires are numbered for which cylinder they fit, great idea.If you didn't start yet, doing them one at a time is safe bet. Keep in mind the coil wire is long to reach front of engine.
