The details you gave do NOT describe an OCD.

People with OCD, by definition, obsess over unusual things--like not wanting to get their hands dirty.

And then they act compulsively--like staying locked in the bathroom so the world's dirtiness cannot touch them.

Do you obsess over things that others don't? AND do you respond to the things you obsess about by doing things that
prevent you from living your life?

Good luck.

Obsessive compulsive disorder is caused by fear, or a phobia. If you fear something excessively, you would get obsessed over it. To comfort yourself, you would get a compulsion to handle the fear. Does this make sense?

ie. a person with the fear that someone is going to rob their house, will compulsively check door locks, a person with a fear of getting sick will compulsively clean to be rid of germs. Those may not be *your* phobias, but not having your moms love and attention may be. When she denied you something, you may have been afraid that meant she didn't love you unless you got it. Just a guess here...only a professional can diagnose you with ocd.

try watching the movie "Matchstick Men".

No. OCD is better described as a compulsive behavior like constant hand washing. You sound like you went through a rebellious phase and the consequences of your behavior have created an unnatural fear of change. Talk to friends and family about it. And if you think your fears are limiting you, consider seeing a counselor.

I like Monk! Sounds like you just knew what you wanted and learnt that by goin on about it you got it. Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Dont sweat it. There is a huge possibility that you mom had problems.

No most people don't like change .... Just get your own place and job and take responsibility for your self and take control of your life... By living with some one else you give them the power over you... The old saying ( He who has the gold rules the kingdom) So get some gold (JOB) and rule your own kingdom (your own place).....

No it doesn't sound like OCD.
OCD is when you obsess over EVERYTHING.
Not over whether you can do something or not.
