ofcourse, you dont need anything but a electronic connecter as the plugs in the usa are different to the uk ones. (it wont fit, so if you tried without the connecter it would make your fuse go dodgy.) you can buy them at most game or electronic shops.

Yes. All you would need is an adapter for American plugs. PS3 games are region free so you will be able to play USA games on the UK console. HOWEVER, you will NOT be able do play American DVD's or Blu-Ray movies as they are split into regions. The picture may look a little distorted when playing games bought in the UK, this is because American TV's use NTSC format while the UK uses PAL format.

First off, you need to get a voltage converter. The US uses 110 V while the UK uses 220 V.

Second, since the UK uses PAL and US uses NTSC, you might have problem seeing the picture correctly.

The PS3 is region free, so you can play US PS3 games on a UK PS3. You cannot play US PS2 games on a UK PS3.

Yes Yes Yes !!!!! You Only Need The Adaptor Due To The Difference In The Shape Of The Plug. You Will NOT Need A Voltage Converter!

Most PS3 games are region free, however some developers can region lock games. For example, GTA IV won't run on SDTV if it's from another region. It's not important for HDTVs.

My PS3 from US works perfect in Europe. All you'll need is a power converter (a good, bulky one, 220->110V 50->60Hz and at least 500W). PS3 games are region free, but games from PS1/2 and movies aren't. Also (if you plan to connect PS3 to standard TV - make sure, that TV supports PAL signal).

You will need a power/plug adapter. You can play PS3 games fine as they are region free, but you will only be able to play PAL PS2 and PS1 games, region 2 DVDs and region B Blu-Ray discs.

Check this out carefully!

The voltage system in the USA is different - as well as the plug system. Ask at your local large/main travel agents.

You will certainly need a plug adaptor - about £1. You may need also a power adaptor - about £5.

If you do need them - cheaper than blowing or burning out your ps3.
