I'm 17, and turning 18 in 2 weeks. Recently, my parents have been having money troubles. My dads buisness isn't going so well at the moment, and they're struggling to pay the morgage. It may even end with them having to sell the house. I'm considering lap dancing to help pay for the morgage and bills. I've even meet up with a woman who manages a lap dancing club. She says my appearance is right for the job, but she can't give me an interview/audition in the club untill I turn 18. She wants me to come back to see her in a couple of weeks. I've told my mum about this and she says would rather lose the house than have me work as a stripper. But my parents have lived there since they first got married (over 30 years ago), and I know they'll be devastated if they have to move. The job I have now doesn't pay enough.
I know it's sleazy, and i'll hate every second of it, but is this 'good' idea? They've looked after me their whole life, so I think I should give something back.

You might look at it as entertainment. Television, Plays, Circus ect. all require actors. Art has in all the ages contained nudity or partial nudity & usually it's the female form that is the focal center. As for your parents I've known many men that enjoy seeing the exposed female form but have a fit about the clothing THEIR daughter wears and women that throw the same fit about her daughters clothing but look at the old pictures of what she wore when she was young. It might pay the rent but I doubt your parents will ever be comfortable with it. As for you, have you considered how you will feel when performing before men (young & old) you know? Good luck.

Do not do it.
You will only regret it, or worse start to think that is normal, how would you feel to be that person.
Look at other ways to help and make money.
I run my own business it might be just what your parents need to make a difference.
Take a look and pass it on!
My job is to help people who need more money without affecting their job. It is good work meeting nice people and helping them Check it out. The first two videos are testimonials showing how people have changed their lives and the last is requesting information. I know this could help but you and / or your parents would have to work to make it!

Only a female who has a ZERO sense of self-esteem, and treats her own body as an object instead of something to be respected, would work as a stripper, porn star, or ANY sex profession.
Keep in mind that strippers and prostitutes are no different...prostitutes will tell you that they don't have sex with all of their clients...if you show any part of your body for sexual arousal purposes....that makes you a prostitute.
If you have that low of a sense of self worth, you don't need a better paying job, you need counseling to find out what went wrong in your life that you have to reach the bottom of the barrel to make it.
I would rather starve TO DEATH before I would work in the adult industry. At least I would die with my dignity intact.

Personally I'd rather burn my house down than have my daughter be a stripper. Do you think they are going to appreciate that they can stay in the house that's being paid for by men looking at their naked girl's body?

Regardless of the circumstances your parents would not want you to be a stripper , you can get a job doing something else to help out.

one of my cousins started out serving drinks at a "dancing establishment".
she rationalised that she wasn't stripping or worse,....
within a year she was dancing and doing drugs (they helped block out the bit of her mind that knew it was wrong).
by the second year she got attracted to bigger money (going out with the patrons)
then she got offered huge money to do a bit of porn movie
now she is a mess at 34 years old, no self esteem, addicted to meth and coke, the lifestyle sucked her in a bit at a time.

You've said it yourself 'i'll hate every second'....so don't do it.I'm sure your parents would hate every second too.
I'm certain they appreciate your efforts to help out,but there must be another way........good luck
