What was the recall on the cold meds?

I have some Tylenol plus cold and cough... am I supposed to throw this away? Thanks to answers.

Theyre not safe for children under 3. And its suggested you dont give them to children under 12 at all either.

If you have cold medication for infants, throw it out. Ive been preaching this on here since the launch of Answers, and finally people are starting to realize its true. Cold and sinus and allergy medication do NOT belong in infants- and because of that, they also do not belong in pregnant women.

Freaking idiot people, its not because of the dosage, yes its easy to overdose, but the actual medication itself has been linked to serious issues in children. Even under the supervision of doctors administering the drugs theyve been found to cause everything from sickness to death. Antihistamines and cold medications do NOT belong in childrens bodies, they effect the heart and renal systems too vastly.

They weren't really recalled, it was just that too many people were missusing them, giving the improper dosage to their children. That's why they were taken off the shelves.

As for what the other person stated to us idiotic people, yes, it's true, part of the recall was made b/c the ingredients aren't safe for children under 2. But the other part is about the dosages, parents were simply missusing the meds, giving their children too much.

They were not taken off the shelves because there was anything wrong with the products - but because parents weren't giving the correct dosages of the medicine to their children!
Give proper dosages and all will be fine.
