I am not having any bridesmaids or groomsmen. It will just be my fiancee, me and our daughter in the wedding. Does anyone have any ideas on how we should do the ceremony. I was thinking I could let her walk down the aisle right before me (the bride), but I am not sure what song to let her walk down too because if it is only her walking by herself? Also where should I have her stand?

hi adrianna, congatulations on your upcoming wedding. we are in a similar circumstance of getting married next year and have chosen not to have attendants either. I have a 7 yer old daughter from a previous relationship and a 1 year old with my fiance. MY dad passed away a few years back, so my daughter is "giving" me away, and she will walk down the isle next to me. we are viewing our marriage as us all becoming a family together, so we are having the kids standing next to us during the ceramony., and included in all the photos. songs are a really personal choice and i guess you have to pick something that means something to all of you. we arent having the traditional wedding march, but have chosen the instumental theme song from " while you were sleeping". the most important thing is to have fun and make the day yours. weddings arent bound by tradition as much as they once were, so create a day that is going to express your love and union.

Congratulations! Make sure that you have the required number of adult witnesses to sign your marriage license. It is either one or two.. (They don't have to be in the ceremony to witness it).

If it's a dress up event, maybe a disney princess type song for HER to walk down the aisle to.

I don't know how old she is, but you could also consider a ribbon tying ceremony (often used with step children) but she could literally tie her folks together, or light candles if you have a unity ceremony. I think there's a family unity candle ceremony now. . Have her stand next to you, or depending on where your ceremony is perhaps nearer to the officiant, or behind and between the two of you - you could be placed almost like a diamond.
