It's unknown, with all the adjustments to the calendar, exactly what year Jesus was born. Most historians agree that He was born sometime after 6 B.C. and before 6 A.D.
And I think your avatar is interesting.

Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the King (Matt. 2: 1). Most historians say that Herod died in 4 B. C. Hence, Jesus would have been born no later than 4 B. C. We also learn from the Bible that a census was being taken at the time of Jesus' birth, in fact, Joseph and Mary were at Bethlehem to enroll when Jesus was born (Lk. 2: 1-7). Quirinius, the Governor of Syria, conducted this census. Based on the believed date of this census, some place Jesus' birth at 6 B. C.

It doesn't matter what year he was born, nor if he actually existed at all.The message was the important thing. The message of love and forgiveness and casting off guilt from yesterday.Yes,"the "message"has been repeated before and since,we need more of THAT message, and less concentrating on the hoo-doo-voodoo aspects of the story whether he was a god,or resurrected.Just the message of love, tolerance, forgiveness. The message or moral is what is important and relevant today. One need not be christian to practice that good advice, nor is it the sole domain of theists.ANYONE can have the "peace that surpasses all understanding"By simply learning to love, forgive, and let go

Nobody knows for sure. His birthdate is an educated guess based on the history contained in the Bible. It's virtually certain that he was NOT born on December 25th. That particular date was revered by most pagan religions in ancient times. This is because that's the day when days start getting longer again (sunsets stop their southern progression on December 22nd, then appear to hover at the same point of the horizon for 3 days, then they begin their yearly progression back to the north).
Astrology was well-known and prevalently believed in ancient times. God's Son (sun) was born on December 25th -- the same day the annual cycle of the sun is reborn (born again). The sun(set) appears to die for 3 days, every year, then rises again. This is echoed by Jesus dying for 3 days and rising again.
The year of Jesus' birth has always been controversial. I've read several historians that place his birth in the year 7 B.C. December 25th was chosen to make it easier for the pagans to worship Jesus. Remember, Christian doctrine was first formalized under Emperor Constantine, at the Council of Nicea. As the state religion (Roman Catholic Church) of the Roman Empire, converts to Christianity came from a pagan population that celebrated its biggest holiday on December 25th.

2nd Year B.C.E TISHRI 15 (Jewish month) the seventh.
Year 0 doesn´t exist , year are ordinal numers (first , second, etc) not (one , two , three)
he died Nisan 14 Year 33, he was 33 and 6 month so if you substract 33-33.5 you will have 0.5 but you can´t include year "0" so it is 1.5 or 1 year and a half or the second year.

Jesus was borned 2007 years ago. You know why nowadays is known as AD? It's in Latin, it stands for Anno Domini which means 'in the year of our Lord' which means Jesus. That means in the year when Jesus was borned, it counted as AD 1. Got it?
