I've wondered about tapeworm for a long time, but the one time I asked a doctor about it she totally blew me off. No testing, just acted like I was a hypochondriac. I want to ask another doctor about it, but I guess just want to go in feeling like I'm not completely out of the ball park here.

So over a period of many months I had severe abdominal tenderness and it felt like something was moving around in my abdomen. Doctor said it was organs readjusting after pregnancy, and gas. I had sharper pains and spots of burning for a while too. More recently I don't have the tenderness and pains so much, but my midsection has grown while I haven't really gained weight, and I am a pear shape, so this just doesn't sit right with me.

Any thoughts?

Most people with tapeworm have no symptoms what so ever.
