in a person who says he is a prophet, are my chances of being led astray any greater than one who doesn't believe in one? Isn't anyone whose beliefs differ from yours being led astray?

Put what they say to the test. Have them show you the scripture that backs what they say. Pray about it and ask God to lead you in truth and wisdom. God knows where your heart is. If you are sincere, he will help you know the truth. There is only one truth.

Believe in the Word of God, the Bible, The word doesn't lie, the devil lies and he's the father of it. The Bible says Jesus Christ came to earth and Died on a Cross for you and me. Does it remind you of Jesus when you see a Cross, it does me, its amazing but even that fulfills scripture. Hebrews 10:16, says that Jesus wrote it in our hearts and minds. Jesus is our Saviour! In John3:3 He said to get to Heaven we must be born again. We must accept him as Lord, Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? Have you ask him to cleanse you of all your sins and make you a child of His? If not you can right now, Today is the day of Salvation, We don't know what tomorrow may bring, how many chances do we have to get it right, just pray this simple sinners prayer and a new life in Christ can be yours, just Pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

I think we all have different beliefs because of different cultures and teaching but it's what you believe in the end that matters. In other words it really doesn't matter what road you take to get to the capitol as long as we all get to the capitol. I hope this makes sense. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS!!!
