when is playstation TV coming out?

i heard that the PS3 will be able to work as a satalite receiving lots of channels but when is it released

PlayTV is due out in the UK early next year. It's supposed to be a freeview tuner/HD recorder for the PS3, if i've understood properly.
I think they've also reached some sort of deal with Sky too.

I gather that it'll start in the UK to start with and then as they get licences, etc it'll spread.
