It is illegal to put anything into a mailbox unless your a postal worker, unless your sending the mail out. The Federal Goverment owns the space inside the mailbox. If you put something in the mailbox they see it as cheating them out of there postage. So if you legally want to stuff cream cakes into someones mailbox you better make sure you mail them. First offenses are usually a slap on the wrist but its the feds, i wouldnt chance it!

Why would you want to?

If you're thinking of doing this then your an a$$hole.

What would you think if someone sent you mail, oh I don't know maybe a present card with money in it and some **** put something mushy in the postbox, thus the mail people would possibly have no known address for the money (address unreadable) to send to.

Questions like this really wind me up, are you 8 or something? Mentally retarded.

Well, I've done that many, many times for the last twenty some odd years and I've never gone to jail. Oh, wait! I was putting cream PUFFS in the mailbox, not cream cakes. Yeah. That's a whole different story.

Yes it is. Once the mail is in the box it becomes the property of Royal Mail. So it would be construed as vandalism to their property. Nothing would happen to me, as I wouldn't waste my time, or money spent on cream cakes, in such a childish manner.

You would get into trouble if you ruined people's mail. I'd prefer to eat the cakes than feed them to the post box though.

It constitutes nuisance if you stuff unwanted things into someone else's letter box. If you cause damage to property you'll b liable for criminal damage, intention to do criminal damage (this is a serious arrestable offence).

Why do you want to stick cakes into the l box anyway?

Once something is posted it becomes property of the Queen so you would be vandalising the Queens property.
I guess it would be technically treason.

This link says
"Interfering with the mail or sleeping with the consort of the Queen is classed as treason, and as such, carries a maximum penalty of death."
