In my house permanently....

Hi Leo it can last for a while if you don't clean it up quick. It will sour and it is really bad. In the refrigerator take some bleach and warm water that should help, and then get a box of baking soda and put in there. I have done that before. I am not sure about the room you may want to try some Ferbreeze they make a strong odor control. I hope that I helped you out, and good luck

Depending on how well aired your house is then it could be gone in a day or less even, but if their has been cans tipped over or spilt then it will be longer until you clean up those areas

Arm and Hammmer baking soda box in frid helps alot..
