Think of all the things you could have if your taxes were less. You could afford to pay for your own health care, buy things, enjoy life. Corporations make you pay their taxes. And rich business owners pass their taxes onto their poor customers.

Remember, the Boston Tea Party was staged over the ridiculous 3% tax on tea.

Our founding fathers would be turning over in their graves with a 8% sales tax and a 50% income tax.

Yes . However just paying taxes , does that mean that if we were taxed 100 % of our income that the world would be perfect ? Of course not , but the Government would be quite happy im sure . Citizens must just simply stop passing new useless taxes and get more people involved in fixing the problems . My point , we should not continue to keep just throwing money at problems it does not work ! I think If people had more money ( paid less taxes ) that the private citizens could use it to help society better than any government .
Like by having the choice of where the money extra will go , i.e. like to charity or savings ect.

Taxes are much lower in the U.S. than in Europe, and we get relatively good results. Go to Nigeria or Iraq if we want to see what happens somewhere without a well-functioning government. Wait, you cannot: one of the results of our taxes is the roads that you would need to use to get to the airport; without that result, you could not go to Nigeria or Iraq (or somewhere more desirable).

Of course we should. And if we could get more people who believe that into office, and get rid of the "lifers", we just might get better results.
