...accepted the feminin principle in their religion and their priests were not only men but even women?
But if, for example, the story of Christ resurection from death must be understood not in its literal sense, but in a symbolical sense, so it can be interpreted in many ways which are not in conflict with its message and not alterate its meaning?

I know about the Cathars and the Bogumils from which they originated. I agree and actually think women are much more suited to hold religious offices. I am a Christian myself, but do believe in spirits and reincarnation. I do not agree though that ascetics is THE way to escape, but I agree that non-attachment should be more prominent part of the christian tradtition.

The problem is that many people want to have their cake and eat it. This means they want all without sacrifices or just sacrificing what they feel like, not understanding that beause of this they cannot progress spiritually. Being saved by Jesus is so much easier than to have to do it yourself, so our Sloth dooms us.

It would all be depending on the spirit... reincarnation, which could be closer home to it is possessing, that would be as in exorcism. But being born again is another matter as it had many meaning to it in mental state of mind or the literal of it.
