i mean the middle east is where it was so culturaly widespread, thats where america got the idea to start smoking it. plus back then it wasnt taboo because it wasnt illegal.

America got the idea to smoke pot from the mid-east ? I think it came from latin minority's smoking it in America, Artist's and musicians started to smoke it in the early 60's, and the American youth being what it is, immitated what their favorite "Artist" (yea, that includes "Rock and Roll"), did. I don't see where the mid-east fits into this ?
