Why do many people believe that babies and children are incapable of sin before they get to a certain (yet to be determined) age? Would that mean God is lying by saying that?

Babies are by their very nature self-centered... and they learn to lie and manipulate (crying for attention rather than because they're hungry or poopy) very early.

I do not personally belive that we are born with sin, but i do believe that children can sin from an early age. The bible never says hat they are incapable of sin, it says that all children will be forgiven and go to heaven if they die because they are not old enough to be held responsible for their actions.

Because a child does not understand the repercussions of its actions. To sin you must be deliberate. It means to intentionally know the mark and choose to miss it. A child is incapable of that and so is innocent. The child might commit sinful acts and is indeed born with sin but it does not understand what it is doing or how to change what he is doing and is therefore innocent because he can not make a true decision.

I have to ask, where in the Bible does it say the all are born with sin? Where is your sources? How about Biblical verses?
In God's Plan of Salvation, Adam and Eve had to disobey the command to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in order to obey the first commandment of being fruitful and multiplying. Adam and Eve were not quite mortal and knew not the functions of their bodies. They were in a sense little children not knowing right and wrong. The Plan of Salvation is for all of God's spirit children that agreed to the plan to gain a body, live on this world the best he or she can, and show Heavenly Father that they are ready to resume their progression in the world to come. That is why Heavenly Father sent his Son to this world. This is to not only to die an innocent life, without sin, but to teach and show that it is possible for all to do so. Of course, God knew that most would lack the faith and the need for the Atonement is necessary. God is not lying. People misinterpreting the Bible do.

We are not born in sin. We are born innocent. According to the bible we reach an age of understanding where we realize we have sinned and it is then that God holds us accountable.

Babies and those individuals who do not understand right from wrong are innocent or so say the churches except the Catholic church.

In the bible we find that we must hear, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized. We must be pricked in our hearts as those on the day of Pentecost were. Babies have not yet sinned. They know no right or wrong.

In acts the eunuch was told that he could be baptized only if he believed with all his heart, something a baby cannot do.

Sin means a falling short of the mark, of perfection.
Adam and Eve sinned by being disobedient. Since then, we have all inherited this.
(Genesis 2:16-17) And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.”

They did not die immediately, but did eventually.

And we have all done so ever since.

This situation will not continue indefinitely.

(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

It is Jesus' sacrifice of his perfect life on earth that paid the price to have death lifted from us.
But the beneficiaries will only be the righteous, as described at Psalms 37; 9,11,29,34...The wicked, by ignoring God's requirements, will have been destroyed.

We are not born with sin, we are born into sin. A world of sin.

Babies and children are not accountable for their actions since they don't know the difference yet from right and wrong.

Committing sin is a conscience act on our part as we know it's wrong, and we have the choice to do wrong or to not to wrong.

Yes, we all sin.

However, when we accept Jesus as our Savior, He then becomes our mediator, our intercessor in heaven.

And on the judgment day when our names are called, Jesus will step in and tell the Father, God, that the slate of our sin-filled life has been wiped clean by His blood.

So, we need to be at an age in our lives when we clearly know the difference from right and wrong and the choices we make.

God does not lie. Why should He? He wants us all saved and to one day come home and live with Him in a world with no more sin, suffering or death.

The Bible never said all babies are born in sin. That is man-made doctrine. The Bible says that there is a time when sin springs to life in a person. That would be the time he or she comes to the age where choices can be made between right and wrong.

People ARE NOT capable of COMMITTING sin prior to the age of reason.

Unfortunately, the fact that even babies are subject to death proves that ALL are affected by the original sin of our first parents, even if we aren't personally GUILTY of their sin.

This has always been a Catholic doctrine, and lots of people who don't like the Catholic church attempt to refute this fundamental truth in various ways, but truth is truth, and heretics are heretics, and never the twain shall meet.

Because people can't figure it out without the Bible, apparently. It makes perfect sense to me, the mental facilities have to mature somewhat in order for them to make their sin manifest with action. What can a little infant newborn do?! lol

But according to some people, sin just suddenly 'pops' in! Like magic! I think it's been there all along, and the kid is just too young to do much with it.

Sin is imperfections, the result of sin is death, all are born dying and death can occur at any age.
Jesus died for our sin as we are innocent as being borned in sin.
1Cor.15:22-28,51-53; As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Born in the imperfections of sin, it is easy to commit sin in variety, this we need to control to the best of our ability, ever aware of how easy it is, get angry and sin not.
