The only person I have ever blocked is a notorious troll who loves me so much he adds me as a contact and literally spend hours looking through my questions looking for violations.
I argue with many of my contacts regularly.

I've never blocked or reported anyone. I've probably been blocked by more than a few, but I've never noticed one way or the other. Public forum, free speech, everyone has a chance to say what they want to say. What's better than that? After all, sunlight is the best disinfectant, as they say. It's only the person who's insecure about what he or she believes who wants to silence all critics.

There are some who show that they have an incapability to reason reasonably. I block them. I don't have to give them an argument, I just block them, figuring them to be total trolls by what they say. I have no interest in talking to them.
The other people I block are people who pester me through e-mails. I warn them first, and then if they continue, I block them. They are wasting my time, and I value the Gospel, and intend to preach it to those who God wants. I am NOT trying to save the world!!!!!
Jesus warned of swine. In my over 20 years of being a Christian, my spirituality has included a degree of discernment. With that discernment I can see sometimes a person who is full of the devil, trouble throughout. It is them who I have no interest in talking to especially. As Jesus knew that Judas had a devil, He has graced me with a little wisdom, of that I am truly grateful.
EDIT: Oh! I see one of them answered your question! He accused me of being a report troll! I don't spend time looking through the posts of people I do not want to talk to! I am not even aware I can look through his posts since I blocked him. I thought that got cut off when I blocked him! ROTFLMAO

well, go ahead block me if you wish....there is no argument. RELIGION & SPIRITUALITY is for the religious & spiritual group, however, others are trying to take over, which i suggest to them, that when yahoo opens an atheists category, they should feel free to join. if not, & they choose to stay here, then i suspect they are seeking help in turning from their atheism into the "truth", which is God & Jesus. read the bible & you will learn! if you block me, so be it, because i'm right in the long run. you may not see it now, but unfortuneally you will in the long run.

lol, I agree. I hate it when I'm blocked, because I spout of some pretty controversial stuff. Stuff I'm not willing to engage people in debate on the streets unless I know them REALLY well lol.

I kind of wondered why so many people keep their question and answers private. Is this mass paranoia or what? Maybe people taking this a little too seriously.

Someone once gave me a Best Answer and then blocked me so I couldn't read it.
THAT was a unique experience.
