sexuality and islam??? not the best mix?

well i have this really close bestfriend we both made a pact to ourselves and families to remain chaste untill we're married.
she's a muslim which helps, but she says that muslims aren't allowed to masterbate???
okie i get the insertion part(fingering) but how about clitoral stimulation???
i find it odd...youg women aren't allowed to feel or somehow openly talk about sex..and when they get married everybody expects them to know everything...and they usually get married at a young age.

Everybody must respect each other's religion. If it is bad for them then let it be or might as well change religion. A religion which allows you to perform what is consider sinful or against the rule of your religion so as not drive you away is a bad religion, get away from it.

Anything which detracts from remembering the eternal aspects of religion are not the best, so are implied, or explicitly denied to those who claim to a faith whose goal is the development of the eternal soul, not pleasures of the body.

God/Allah is certainly merciful though, but yes, it is better to avoid, if you can muster that much interest in your intellectual/spiritual life, that physical/sensual pleasures are arbitrary by comparison.

For example one hour a day think about sex and masturbating = from age 12-72 say = 60*365= 21,900 hours = 912.5 days, or 2.5 years of waking life spent on climatic release...

Now imagine that is devoted to study and serving humanity, and you realize that is a huge asset in time being lost that could aid the world and develop the understanding, and in fact its worse than that, because it tends to cause a slackening of interests in fulfill ones life with meaningful development the other hours of the day too.

So these seemingly inane laws actually have compound influence on a sincerely studious and loving society, and its chastely practicing individual(s), many secular scientist even follow this as their minds are entirely engaged, and only poorly engaged minds slump into even thinking about such practices.

Keep learning, and serving your fellow humans, and you find a satisfaction that no sexually useless act can equal.

This is just another issue as to what is wrong with the islamic belief structure. Sex is a basic human need. Sorry, but that's the truth. When people teach others to avoid it they are opening the door to abherent behavior. Anyone, in my opinion, who would fall for this kind of b.s. has not been playing with a full deck and probly needs some counseling. There is absolutely nothing wrong with consentual sex, either alone or with someone.

well I can only say I masturbated from a very young age I did not know what it was until much later but the insertion thing I never thought off until it was suggested by a man and personally do not like it for myself. strange I always felt ashamed of it even before I know what it was.

There's something really cool and logical in buddhism it says something like this:

Be morederated in sex and do not get involved in sex that can hurt others.

So in theory, moderated masturbation is not a bad thing according to buddhism. It makese sense actually.

Well, it's a huge contradiction. You can't have sex and you can't masturbate. It's tough. Muslims have the highest number of unwanted teen pregnancies and abortions. They also have the highest rate of teen marriages and divorces. This should tell them that their method of abstinence is not in line with societal practices.

premarital sex and masturbation are against all three major religions, so i dont know why youre picking on muslims.

to the comment abve, circumcision is only in 2 or three east african countries. it has nothing to do with islam...pick up the quran and see for yourself.

No they are not a good mix especially for women. In many Muslim countries there is also a very high incidence of sexual assault and abuse (almost all unreported). Not to mention female circumcision is also quite popular in the middle east.
