Why do many people today choose to believe that he is only good, loving, kind, forgiving, etc when jealousy and rage do not equal any of those things? Are they trying to say that God was lying in the OT and never meant any of those things, at the same time "the Bible has no errors whatsoever"?

The god of Moses was not the Spirit that made all things. However the god of Moses was constrained to provide a conduit for the Spirit that made all things to speak to Moses. Moses either failed to understand the difference or did not report it in the rather sparse books of Genesis and Exodus.

The angel that escorted Moses was none other than the x covering cherub who had dominion over this world perhaps even this galaxy at the time. This is why the voice warned Moses not to provoke him. This angel was just looking for an excuse to kill them all.

The point here is ; Does God have the legal right to claim worship for himself.\

For what He has done for us. ?

The answer has to be YES.

He gave us life to enjoy. Any non-joy is caused by Satan.
He gave us a beautiful place to live. Partially messed up by Satan's influence.
And He has promised...for the righteous...a future, still on the earth, and without death. Psalms 37.34 & Rev. 21;4
All paid for by Jesus' sacrifice.

God has punished in the past. Every time for good reason. Attacks against his people and non worship of him by worship of other false gods, such as Baal.
He has even punmished his OWN people when they disobeyed...Like permitting them to be carted off to slavery in Babylon for 70 years. His OWN people. Like a Father chastising his child.

Jealousy isnt a bad thing. Is it unreasonable to expect my wife to be faithful? When God expects us to be faithful, that is a reasonable requirement, not an unreasonable one. That does not contradict with the idea of God being good or loving. Because I expect my wife to be faithful doesnt mean Im a bad, unloving, unkind, unforgiving husband.

Read the second commandment for a better understanding of the true nature of God's Jealousy.

Death is kindness to an eternal soul, it only seems like punishment to material bodies, which are always in transition, particularly when material life is a cause for misery of oneself and others.

A body is a corpse whether or not its animated in the estimation of the wise, since they see the end as the fruition of life, and not the death of the tree...

God bless.
