I wish u all a very happy Diwalli. Diwalli means the victory
over evil by god. In all religions it is accepted. Lid the light and drive the darkness. Lid light in your life and others life drive away darkness the evil be friendly with all brothers with out the difference of religion, race and caste.

When Lord Rama came back from Lanka after defeating Ravana, the citizens of Ayodhya welcomed him by lighting the lamps. Hence to mark this occasion Hindu celebrate Diwali.

Diwali is modification of Dipawali or deepawali which means a garland of lamps. Yes, light drives away darkness and spiritual light drives away spiritual darkness.
