This question is open to Christians or non Christians and folks who are not quite sure. In fact anybody.

The Bible says that Jesus rose from the dead, which I believe to be true.

But, we read he said to Mary who saw him at the grave side "Do not clink to me, for I have not yet accended to my Father."

Then later we read that He told duobting Thomas to put his hand in His side and to examine His hands, then Thomas fell at Jesus's feet beheld Him and worshipped Him. Saying my Lord and my God.

Therefore, is it likely that Jesus first went up to Heaven to His Father God then came back down again.

Before going back up to Heaven to be at the right hand side of God His Father.

Because Jesus throught His ministry always let his deciples and followers embrace Him and kiss Him, whether they were men or woman and I am sure children too for that matter.

And he loved Mary very much, enough to die for her, which he did on the cross or tree if you prefer.

Although the below rather long answer I have been sent, makes for interesting reading. The passage found in gospel according to Mathew: Gethsemane: Where Jesus is praying, “My father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not my will, but your will be done.”

I believe Jesus said this for our sake. It showed that although He loved life, that He prayed, if it is possible to take away the cup of suffering from Him. He then goes on to show, that he also loved Mankind that he was willing to die for everyone. “Yet not my will, but your will be done.” And is historical fact he died on the cross.

When Jesus saw Mary he did not allow her to touch him, cause he had to go to this father yet.Regarding Thomas, he did touch the hole in his hands, and Jesus told him, ' Blessed are those who believe without seeing'

I do not think that Jesus went to heaven bfore meeting back up with everyone on earth who saw him, but the bible really does not make this clear. Without a deeper study into the bible surrounding this issue I cannot claim to know either way.

I don't think that Thomas touched Jesus after the resurrection. I think that Jesus said that, but Thomas didn't do those things, seeing that Jesus was there, and either seeing the wounds or just seeing where the wounds were. The thought that Thomas stuffed his hand into Jesus' side, well, it's just gross, who would actually do that?!

Jesus didn't die just for Mary, but for all mankind! I would like to see somebody who would suffer such a horrible death nowadays, and do it willingly, to save his fellow man. It would never happen. I can only thank God for sending his son to save us, and am humbled by it. I know I am not worthy.
I am ashamed of my fellow humans who are atheists and who turn their backs on the truth. Jesus died for them too, but they don't believe. I pray God can speak to their hearts and help them find the truth.

I think Jesus ascended to the Father and was Glorified or transformed
then he came back and let them touch him
after 40 days with them he ascended to the Father in their sight

Perhaps as an x-mortal he was not sure what she would experience if she tries to touch him. Admittedly this flies in the face of contemporary religious thinking. Perhaps he was not all that sure of his own corporeal reality but felt it necessary to hang around long enough to comfort a dear friend.

Later in the upper room with the disciples he was very sure of his own corporeal nature although from their prospective he passed through solid walls to get there.

That verse is perhaps better translated "stop clinging to me." It is suggested that he wanted her to stop what she was doing and go testify as to what shes seen instead of holding him up since there was only limited time perhaps until his ascension.

I know I have women holding me up all the time and it gets annoying.

Yes He had just risen and had not yet ascended into heaven. That was the only reason she was forbade to touch Him, It would've been done to anyone.

It sounds like he's a sexist. Then again the whole Bible favors men.
