I'm trying to get a value on a camera lens...?

The only info that I have is what's on the end of the lens..SIGMA MULTI-COATED 1:2.8 f=135mm PANTEL (Sigma symbol)-232494 Lens made in Japan. Apparently it got mixed up in my stuff from a long ago deceased relative. I know nothing about this lens - its in a case. The base (where it connects to the camera) is silver/metal. It does say on the outside of the lens, it fits a Canon camera...serious answers only please!

Check on ebay. You can search ended auctions for your lens and see what it sold for.
