according to manufacturers directions it is not recommended. you should discuss that with your doctor or pharmacist to understand the potential side effects.

If you are drinking while taking Zoloft, and feel no effects, you are lucky, so far. Alcohol can increase the side effects of this drug.
Zoloft is an anti-depressant. Alcohol is a depressant. One would have to be foolish to not see the contradiction you are putting in your body.
If you are driving, even a small amount of alcohol while taking Zoloft will have you impaired, even if you are not anywhere ar the legal limit blood alcohol level.

Your prescription bottle usually has any warnings about consuming alcohol while taking the medication. Also, the doctor or nurse practitioner who prescribed this for you should have gone over the side effects, warnings and what to expect. In general, most anti-anxiety and anti-depression medications warn not to consume alcohol while taking them. I highly recommend that you take your medication AS PRESCRIBED!!!!!! The chemists' who develped these drugs are highly educated persons who spent many years formulating and getting FDA approval for the drug, so they know what recommendations need to be given to patients by the prescriber. Many studies have been done on these drugs, with humans, before they are even approved. Heed their advice! If you chose not to, the prescriber and manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any complications from patients who do not take their prescription drug as provided. They advised you what to do, if you don't listen, they are no longer legally responsible for mishaps caused by patients not following their prescribers instructions.
