Religion can be blamed for much of what is wrong with the world. I have a few examples that I share every time I'm faced with such a question.

1. The first ever cancer vaccine was stymied by religion. That vaccine was for cervical cancer. Now, the chances at contracting cervical cancer increase after having sex for the first time. So, a politcian banned the cure because he was afraid pre-marital sex would increase (which is a sin, but a felony.) It's not illegal to have sex before you are married. (Most people do.) But now thousands of women will continue to die because of religion.

2. Religion's opinion of thinking. Religion doesn't tolerate it. If you question authority, or listen to anyone who doesn't believe what you do, you are punished. People learn not to think. And that's not good for anyone.

3. etc, you don't need to be reminded of the warsor evil organizations (KKK, etc) that are a result of religion.

It being what? Being religious? Or religion?

I have no problem with people being religious as long as they keep it to themselves. However, I do have a problem with religion as an organized force in our society that tries to dictate how others should live their lives.

I do not belong to an organized religion and I definitely don't have a problem with "it". I also do not judge those that belong to a religion, and I do not judge any religion. However, I do find myself cringing at judgemental and prejudiced people who state they are religious.

Do I have a problem with religion? No, I believe that everybody should be allowed to follow their beliefs without being alienated. Do I have a problem with religious people telling me I am wrong/stupid/blasphemous/going to hell? Yes, absolutely. Leave my beliefs alone. If you want to compare religous ideas, I'm fine with that, just don't try to convince me that there's a god.

Salam

Those who are not religious have the most problem with religion.

Anything good when taken to an extreme becomes bad. People who have taken religion to an extreme have flown airplanes into buildings. Be the most righteous person in the world if you wish, but don't go nuts with it or force your beliefs on other people.

No I personally do not have a problem with it. To each their own.. Everyone has a belief whether it be religious or morals.. something. I do not judge if they do not believe what I might believe in. That is what makes this world go round...

Problem with it? That I'm not religious, or religion?

No to the former. Yes to the latter

I have zero problems with religion. I have lots of problems with people who insist that their religion is the only true and correct one and thus feel free to threaten me with their idea of eternal punishment for not believing as they do. I have even more problems with people who attempt to get their religious morals codified into laws that everybody, even the non-believers, have to follow (see the current pushing for 'marriage is between one man and one woman' to be inserted into state constitutions - I've yet to see a single argument that didn't boil down to 'my god says its wrong').

Keep your beliefs between yourself, your god(s), and your fellow believers, and we'll all get along just fine.

Religion? No, not per se.

The same attitudes that draw my ire elsewhere in life still do so if expressed in religion, true, but religion itself I don't particalarly care about.
