My grandmother used to say to lick your fingers, and rub the saliva behind your knee. I can't remember if it worked or not. I was just a little sh!t. :)

Guy, I do that to myself several times a day because I just MUST sit on my foot. I try to monitor how my foot feels while I'm sitting on, so I cut it off as early as possible. Then I S-L-O-W-L-Y pull it out from under me. It hurts more if you pull it out from under yourself quickly.

Next, I move it around in a circle, and up and down. Then I set it on the floor. It still takes some time to come back "awake." But I try to stand up slowly, then walk a bit. It's usually fine by then. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Wake it up gradually, because Christ knows that no one likes having a grumpy foot all day.

Remember, the key to waking your sleeping foot is: gentle persistence.

Just pharking wid ya, laddie.
