By being brainwashed by the church Christians thwart their brain development. This has been going on for centuries. Over time they are getting less and less intelligent through a process of selective breeding. In centuries to come will they devolve their brains so much that they revert back to apes, thus proving the very thing they have so blindly believed?

trinity - I wasn't trying to spell "DESOLVE", because thats not a word. The word I used was devolve... as in the opposite of evolve. But thanks for making yourself look like a fool and reinforcing my point.

Heres some statistics on the subject. Basically it says that all studies have shown a negative correlation between religious beliefs and intelligence.

Spiritual dumbness has nothing to do with one's IQ. You can be a certified genius yet be dumb as a rock in spiritual matters.

A useless generalization affected much more by factors outside the study criteria than those on which the statistics are based...
Any TRUE AND VALID study on this question MUST ISOLATE the testing criteria so that IT is the only variable alternating within the population. The test should consider a uniform socioeconomic group, not compare results from different groups while ignoring the impact of the differences.

I see the God in the bible as total silliness. Unconditional love is understanding and I am sure the highest form of intelligence in the universe would understand all the forces that act upon the human condition and how it shapes thoughts and opinions.
I think it is totally preposterous that Christians believe the bible is God inspired yet God will allow all the atrocities in the world but somehow would leave this one book untouched by man. If there was a devil that was in control of this world how could the Christian even trust what is written in the bible? After all even the bible says most Christian will be deceived so how do you know what is this great deception?
Give you something to think about now does it?
P.S. Evil is as evil does and the history of Christianity is not looking to good now is it? I think beliefs=stupidity. Educate your mind and free yourself from indoctrination of inferior thinking.

No, we are not.
I am very intelligent.
Humans will not revert back to apes.
You surely know this is true.
I think you are attempting to be humorous.
Show some proof that this will happen, please.
I assume you are a scientist who has done much research. Otherwise, you would not make such a theory. You are all about logic, statistics, and proof, yet I see none.
Show the proof. Show the percentages and statistics. Show a time line.
Otherwise, you're just blowing steam.

There are still some intelligent ones out there. I'm marrying one. But I really think that most of are psychologically different from the rest of us. I know, all generalizations are false, blah blah blah, but the capacity to believe in something that doesn't make any sense, I know I can't do it.

Wow, you sound just like Hitler's propaganda machine. Getting ready to put us animals in mass graves???
I challenge you to walk into any seminary and talk to the president. You will be humbled by the wisdom and knowledge God gives to his people. The only people selectively breeding themselves into destruction are people like yourself that try to teach others to reject God.

No. Stupid people tend to believe whatever they are taught. There are stupid people born into all kinds of families. Therefore, ideology has nothing to do with IQ.
However, it has been scientifically proven that people who enjoy provoking others anonymously over the internet tend to be weak, losers, without imagination or intelligence regardless of their idealogy.

As a Christian, I can say you are entitled to your opinion. Am not sure what exactly you base your theory on, but God bless you.
