My PS2 started acting strange, turn it on and there would be no sound/video, yet the screen would flicker. Then if I reboot the PS2 I would get it back to normal. Has been doing this for a month. Finally in the middle of a game, it froze up, reboot the PS2 and I have no video and no sound, the screen flickers when you turn it on, but I get nothing out of it. No matter how many times I reset it or turn it off, I get nothing. Any ideas on what is wrong with it? This is a V2 PS2 if I remember right. Now it isn't working at all. Someone mentioned the AV jack might be messed up, but it looks ok to me. Any help would be appreciated.

The problem could be your AV cables, AV jack, or just the PS2's hardware in general. Take it to a repair shop or get a new one, there isn't much you can do for it.

you gotta tryn figure out wats wrong first. try it on a different tv, if same thing happens you know its not the tv. buy and try new cables, if the same thing happens you know its not the cables. then you know its a problem with ur ps2 and may need repairs or replacment. simple troubleshooting my friend.
