Theology comes from a Greek word which means "study of God." Theology is simply humanity's attempt to understand God as He is revealed in the Bible. No theology will ever fully explain God and His ways. God is infinitely and eternally higher than we are. Therefore any attempt to describe Him will fall short (Romans 11:33-36). Theology is a science, an attempt to present what we can know and understand about God in an organized and understandable manner. Many people try to avoid theology because they believe it is divisive. Properly understood, though, theology is uniting. Theology is organizing the teachings of God's Word in an understandable way. Proper, Biblical theology is a good thing - it is the teachings of God's Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17)........Is there anything else you would like to know about Theology?!

It depends on the school. If it's a secular school, the theology program will usually be on all world religions. If it's a christian school, it will likely be just Christianity and maybe some other Abrahamic religions.

Theology literally means the study of God and so it applies to the study of the belief of God and religion since the two are tied. But it does not refer to any specific religion or belief system hence theology can apply to any religion that believes in a deity.

It is a study of God... Built around the Greek root behind theist or atheist, it is not limited to and view, but properly, seeks to find the truth about the deity or deities it studies.

It's not a real form of study at all. It's nothing more than a deeper form of immersion into superstition.
