hi, i'm trying to build my own Quad rotor UAV. I've brought all the component, the motor, accelerometer, gyros, the frame and the rotors. Is there any1 out here can tell me how can I interface all the component together??? I don't know how to programme the PIC and how to connect all the component......PLease help!!!!

Hi, I would like to help you on this. but u'll need more than the explination i give here. you can mail me directly for your queries at rathhna@yahoo.com.

u'll need 2 more things to complete ur purchace, its the radio transmittor to control ur UAV and the PIC programmer to program the IC. let me know which PIC chip u r using.

I'l advice you to start with 2 motors and all this cant be explained without diagrams and being interactive. I'm on yahoo messenger. i'l try my level best to make u understand some of it

make a model like a see-saw (1st order lever) with ur motors and rotors fixed to its ends. add the circuit to control the motor speed. make sure the motors spin in opposite direction to compensate for self rotation.

place the gyros centrally so tat u can measure the angle of tilt of the sea-saw. interface the output of the sensor to PIC, now build a program logic to increase the speed of the motor which is lower and decrease the speed of the motor which is at high point. little bit of FUZZY logic will be involved in this, or PID control through logic will also work good. this simple set up is to always maintain the sea-saw mechanism perfectly horizontal.

pls mail/chat ur questins so tat i can help u better
