Hello everyone! I have become interested in cheek piercings in the past few months, and In the last few weeks I have decided to get them myself!
I have researched this piercing throughly. Considering I pierce myself I wanted to know FOR SURE what I was getting myself into.

Does anyone have any advice as to whether I should take the risk, For the BEAUTIFUL mod. Or do without?
Please, and thanks!
You can also view a few of my other piercings videos on http://youtube.com/profile?user=ShotgunJohna

Thanks again!

i've been a piercer and a piercee...

i'm actually having this mod done for my birthday in about a month and a half. i decided to do it because i naturally have one dimple and with weight loss, i'm also losing my fleshy face (and my dimple isn't as prominent). it's all about the juxtaposition - people see dimples as "cute", but will it still be perceived as such when it's enhanced by 316L?

because of the placement, i would recommend seeking an outside piercer rather than doing it yourself. i know that i can pierce myself as long as it can be done freehand - i can't do forceps/clamps and needle while looking into a mirror.

i'm adding a few images from BME for you to see.

question - who did your septum? because i want to have his babies. i heart him.

good luck, love!

I thinks cheek piercings are awesome, but I must say that piercing yourself is a terrible idea.
Do yourself a favor and just get them done professionally, they are completely worth the money.

EDIT: For all the idiots that are under the impression that a piercing is permanent: shut your foolish mouths and only talk about things you understand.
A piercing is by no means permanent.

Ohhh dear...

I love piercings, but doing any of them yourself involves a certain risk, ESPECIALLY the unusual ones.

The regular ear ones are one thing. They're pretty easy; even I did some of my own. Even nose or maybe eyebrow and navel can be do-it-yourself, if you are careful and know what you're doing.

NEVER do a cheek one or any like it on yourself. Even a licensed and experience piercer should get someone else to do those ones. They involve too much potential for infection/nerve damage, and various other issues to be done on yourself.

Go to a shop.

i got mine almost 3 months ago now and I LOVE them. Screw all these people that are giving you ****. Life is about enjoying it while you can, not sitting around and waiting to get old and die. they don't hurt at all. theres a little bruising for the first day or two but thats it. get them professionally done though. they're awkward to pierce by yourself.
