Baby girl have some love your skin and be grateful for what you have. I have people from my communities here whom are darker shades than me and who been wanting to be like me or fairer. they've been using these bleaching creams and all, and i must say they look horrible. I mean they wouldn't be so bad if they creams were designed to make every part of the body respond accordingly. Anyway, to make a long story short, they look scary sometimes. I knew a lot of them who had nice flawless dark skin and wanted it to improve but it instead turned for the worse.

The problem with these creams is that once these people used them, they had to continue to do so and when they did, they just keep getting lighter and lighter with a very scary and steadily increase. If they stopped however their skin turned darker than it was before they began using the creams. When they tried using them in moderation or not on daily bases, part of their bodies like the cheeks, the foreheads and chest were lighter than other part by a lot of shades while places like the knuckles, neck, and toes were darker than there own skin was, very scary. To make matters worse, i have noticed that in almost every case, these people had blackheads on their faces and i think it must be their bodies reaction to these chemicals in these junks. The reason i say creams is because they have very many kind from different companies but mostly are made in Paris to suit the need for it in the West African countries and all. Some people by looking at them sometimes, you immediately think they're mulatto until you see their fingers and all. I would like for you to go through all of that and waste your time, money and all the memories with the pictures that you'll be taking. I've been seeing these things most of my life and when i started to give a couple of my friends advices out of care, they thought i was either jealous (that they'll be lighter) or was to proud to be lighter and never took me seriously until they began to see it for themselves. I say don't do it Hun, nourish your body with all the nutrients, vitamins and lotions it needs and be happy with how you look and leave all the junks untouched. Now the only other option is suntanning, i don't know much about that so i have no comments personally. Good luck, take care. I'm in Canada now BTW

I've heard smothering on plain yoghurt is good for the skin. Don't go down the route of buying skin whitening crap... have some love for yourself. I look at all the white people who want to be tanned and go out looking orange.. and laugh.

Just keep your skin healthy.

A must use of UV protection or sunscreen in your daily routine.
Coverage at-least 30SPF indoor. 50SPF outdoor.
Daily routine must include whitening product such as lotion or serum.
Its not just make your skin lighter but also protect your skin from harm-full sun-ray.

skin lightening is like skin tanning;
both have the same objectives of better self-esteem
or correcting uneven skin tone;
the only difference is cultural identity and preferences;
each of us has his/her own specific needs and wants.
to answer your question, you need a good skin lightener;
plus high spf sunscreen and/or vitamin C
to complete the regimen;
it's how i maintain my fair skin tone. :-)
