Giving a small tip is greatly appreciated by the delivery men (furniture, food delivery etc) - doesn't matter if someone says if it's right or wrong to tip - just give them a couple bucks, it will be a really nice gesture.

No, I do not think this is necessary. Usually you tip the pizza delivery guy because he is burning his own gas and putting wear and tear on his vehicle. The furniture delivery guys usually get a company truck and are usually compensated fairly.

on a sunday they are probably getting paid extra already however.... i did tip mine - $10 for 2 good sized pieces. just told them to grab a soda. the carpeting guys got tipped better though -- they helped me rearrange the furniture, cut me extra pieces and were so cautious about everything..... they were outstanding!

It is an individual choice however, I think you should tip. I'm expecting my mattress set on Monday and I am planning to tip $10 per guy. Just how I am.

hell no, don't tip no furniture delivery guy. It's their job to deliver furniture & I bet they are getting paid a good hourly salary for this type of job. Why do you need to tip?

I am so glad you asked this. I am going to be buying a sofa soon and had no idea! I sort of assumed it was personal choice, but I would hate to not do it and have them expect it.

I think it is individual choice but they will not be expecting a tip-they are fairly well paid.
