i have dark brown hair and pale skin. i want to highlight my hair to make it lighter. what color would look best and not trashy?

i personally think dark hair with any kinda of light highlight looks trashy. you should get a somewhat-dark golden brown to give it a natural look. or maybe an auburn. that would look the best!

a lighter brown maybe even some redish-brown or blonde with light brown. i have dark brown hair to and i think im going to do it a few shades lighter then my hair and get also like 5 shades lighter then my hair

Go to professional and ask for something that looks natural but will lighten your hair a bit.
Do not do it on your own if you have no idea what your doing.
It may cost more with a cosmetologist but it will look a LOT better in the end!

go a shade or two lighter than the base color. get several thin ones have it weaved in. Thick ones won't look good.

do darker brown lolights with blonde highlights, this will make ur face not so pale looking
