Michael R - I have a cocker spaniel x kelpie, and he ate our tv remote too....chewed it literally to bits! I can't even work out how to replace it, as he ate all the bits that had the model number written on it. Since then he has also had a go at our cordless phone (ate off the arial), my husband's mobile phone, and most recently my phone. He seems to have a love of technology!

He also goes mad for hot chips and popcorn.

The funniest thing that my dog ever ate was some ice cream and apple pie. I had just came home late at night from work, and fixed it to eat. My dog was sleep in the living room, I set my bowl on the bed, went to the bathroom came back and it was gone. And he was sitting there licking his lips.

I have an IG that will eat ANYTHING! One Fourth of July, she came with us to a barbecue. She hopped on the table and ate several hot dogs, and burgers. She was huge! They are quite the jumpers!
As a kid, I actually had dogs that ate crayons and they would have VERY colorful poop, haha.

My first dog ate a AA battery. It was on the ground when I was walking her and she got it is her mouth before I saw it. I did see her with it and then she swallowed it before I even could get the words "leave it" out of my mouth. Terrified the livin' cr%% out of me. I jumped her in the first cab I saw coming, after promising the driver a $50 tip because he said no dogs(I had zero cash on me btw) and ran to my vet.

She puked it up in the cab along with the breakfast she had eaten. OMG I have never seen a cab driver so MAD in my life. He followed me into the Vets office yelling at me (I still wanted her to be checked out). The girls in the office felt so bad for me they paid him $75 out of the till and added the money onto my bill, very nice of them.

I learned to be much better at scanning the ground after that to see things before my dog.

My Basenji ate the crotch out of my friend's pants. A perfect circle, about 8 inches in diameter.

Basenjis are known for being "underwear gourmets"....mine will eat undies, but I didn't think to tell my friend to keep his *pants* away from where the dog could get them, as he never bothers mine....but then I found out my friend usually goes "commando" and therefore....well, you get the idea. LOL...sick dog

My dog ate a grapefruit. I was shocked as all get out.
My ex brother in laws dog ate about a dozen Jell-o shots. They wern't paying attention to him during a party, and he helped himself. He was a Lab-Pit Bull mix, and he was DRUNK!!!! It's a sad thing to see a dog with a hangover. Yes we called the vet for advice.

Beer, unfortunately. (Which, by the way, is *not* good for dogs to have.) It was in a glass on the end-table; I walked out of the room for just a moment, when I came back, she had jumped up on the couch and was lapping it out of the glass.

The lesson to be learned? Now I make sure if I have something that the dog shouldn't have, I take it with me when I leave the room.

we had a small dog who weighed about 10 pounds and she stole two large steaks out of the oven, both equaling over 2 pounds and they were gone in seconds. She regretted it though, minutes later she was begging to go outside.

i had a dog that loved green peppers. he always knew when we had some in the fridge. the strangest thing he ate was a light bulb! he ate all of the glass part of it. boy, did that scare the heck out of us! i thought he was going to die, but he was fine. (lucky us!) now, years later, it seems funny. LOL
