First let me get you familiar with my cats. I have Potato,Ruffus,Deano,Princess,Catalina,Sqeaks, and Kotton.
Kotton, and Sqeaks are the two kittens. The rest are adults. Now mind you I have had my cats from anywhere to 4months to 5yrs,and they have cause no problems. Ruffus, and Deano are fixed. Now, in my neighborhood there tend to be quite a few cats, around 18 but only about 3-4 are homeless/stray. Out of those strays there happens to be a female with a litter near my neighbors new house. However they seem to think that my cats are producing these kittens which they are not its a stray female in the area. So what does my neighbor do? Apparently calls up the pound. (as i was told by my closer neighbor.) Now im not saying he did, but Ruffus is missing... Ruffus never ever leaves my porch...ever! Its been 3 days ive looked online at pounds, no help... is this even aloud? i mean is it lawful? can a neighbor call the pound on YOUR cat? Thanks, Just tell me if you have any questions. =]

I had collars on them.
all well cared for also.
and i mean they have
vicous dogs running
around and nothing is
done about that?
Yet my harmless cats
can get taken to the
pound for some kittens
that were not even theirs?
Things are very messed
up here.

Its just getting very very
upsetting to me, and if
my neighbor is so low
that he would call the
pound on my harmless cats
then ill just have to go
after his awful,killing dogs.
if my animal is getting involved
with something that it had
absolutley nothing to do with
then i swear his will too.
not wanting anything against
his animals or anything, but
if it comes down to it i will
kill his dogs, and not feel
one bit guilty about it.
then he will be able to see
how awful it is to get your
animal taken from you.

Is this the neighbor with all the cats? It is actually illegal to have too many cats. You can easily call an report them as well. Are your females spayed..if so then that is proof that your cats are not the culprits. If they are not spayed/neutered then they should be outside in the first place. If you call the humane society on them for having too many cats..you have to be careful because you yourself may be above the legal limit. Go ahead and post flyers around the neighborhood about your missing cat, and go to the neighbor directly to give them a flyer and see what their reaction is. Also, you need to go to your local pounds in PERSON and report your cat missing there, and physically go and look at the cats to make sure your cat is not there. Leave a photo of your cat at the pound so they can be looking out for him. Also, make a report to your local animal authorities that you suspect your neighbor may have done something to your cat..so it is in writing in case this happens with your other cats. This way you will have a complaint on file. Or you can just keep your cats indoors so you will not have to deal with ANY of these issues.

The ONLY thing here that is important is getting back Ruffus!! Forget the get even stuff it will not help you in your search.
Like others have said do not rely on the internet -- you need to make some phone calls or even better go in person. I would obviously start with the closest one. Take a photo of Ruffus with you - a picture is worth much more than a physical description.
Tomorrow is Saturday...big day at the "pound" . Time is NOT your friend in this -- go get Ruffus!
After Ruffus is safe and sound at home - ask the question, "What should I do about a nasty neighbor who gave my cat to the pound for no reason."
Hope to see that question real soon.

Did you see animal control come and get him? Looking for him on the internet is a waste of time, those cats are for adoption and you cat would be listed as a stray or lost and therefore not on the internet. Call them and describe him to the front desk. If your cats are out door cats get them micro chipped. It doesn't cost that much and it can get your cat back to you. Go and talk to your mean neighbor and flat out ask her about it. If they concur then take further action.

If one of your cats happened to be at your neighbors when the pound came to get them, they could of been caught and picked up. Also the neighbor could of put food out to catch them and then took them away. They could have a small animal cage/trap, if your cat got in the trap it would of been taken off and treated as one of the strays. I would go to the pound and check and see if it is there. I hope you find your cat and the neighbor didn't just take them off and dump them somewhere. Good luck

They could have taken the cat in if it was in their yard to the pound and said it was a stray. I don't think they could have taken it off your porch. Keep checking the pounds or put signs up in your neighbor. I would get all my cats fixed. The humaine society will do it at a low cost and tell all my neighbors so they know that it is not yours reproducing.

that is so mean! You just march right up there and argue like there's no tomorrow, and if he doesn't listen you take revenge. Call cops. gosspip, rumor and talk about him to every neighbor. Borrow an item of his and never return it. But be alert he could be a killer. Look in his freezer for a cat.

if your cats are not in your house, YES the neighbor can call the pound. they are called strays, despite being owned by you. i work as a dispatcher for the police, and i hate getting these calls, cuz there are ALOT of them. they get taken to the vet/pound until an owner comes to get them, they are adopted by others, or are put down.
keep yours inside.

They can call the pound and report it as a stray, my neighbor tried with mine but she was in the house at the time so it didn't work.

If it's running around without a collar then yes they can. Keep your cats inside or if you must let them roam outside then get them all fixed, and make sure they're wearing their tags or have identification chips.
