This website offers tons and tons of information from scholars and ex-Christian scholars who were convinced that the likelihood that the Biblical Jesus ever existed was slim to none!

These are updated arguments that are being ignored by mainstream Christians, but may, in the end, destroy their religion!

What are we Christians to do with our religion now that Jesus is disappearing?

Is Buddhism a good alternative?

Ummm, a lot of Buddhists believe that a historical figure named Jesus did exist and teach lessons of peace. There are several Buddhist books on the similarities of Buddha's and Jesus's teachings.
Most, however, do not believe in the concept of Jesus being the son of God.

The problem that has been happening is that there is no evidence either for or against the exsistance of Jesus. Many of the things once thought to prove his exsistance have turned out to be hoaxes(ie. The Shroud of Turin). And to be honest, I don't think it matters a whit whether he exsisted or not. Someone passed on amazing teaching and someone tried to contribute to society in a positive way (even if it was a collective of people), not being able to prove or disprove the exsistance of Jesus should not invalidate the teachings. And no I am not a Christian, but I do appreciate Christian ideals, in their true form.

"convinced that the likelihood"

The only way to make this argument realistic is to remove the Bible as evidence.

Then remove all the Billion plus people who have heard of this story and chosen to believe it.

It is very easy 2,000 years after something occurred to try to say it never happened.

There are all kinds of people who say, the USA never landed on the Moon, the Earth is Flat...

Buddhism is the same as German Philosophy. Neither believe in the concept of God.

At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow. This is a prophecy about your future. See you there.

The truth is that you can find all the info you want that either proves or disproves Jesus' existence. If you are skeptical, then you need to search this topic from both sides. Don't be bias. I suggest Lee Strobel's books (The Case for Christ, The Case for the Real Jesus, The Case for a Creator). He is a former atheist turned Christian. You will find that the evidence for Jesus' existence is overwhelming after you read his books.

Yes it is true. I've been to that website and listed it as a source on numerous occasions on these forums. First time reading on that site it only confirmed things that I've felt all along. I plan to donate money to that site fairly soon.

It may not destroy Christianity, but may have it reinterpreted in a new way (i.e. Gnosticism, etc.).

Not sure if Buddhism is the answer then. That's something you'll have to discover and decide on your own, if that's what you choose to do.

Only G#y Scholar said Jesus does not exist. Not even one true scholar denied the existence of Jesus. However, the controversy here was Jesus is God or not that make people debating for thousand of years.

Believe what you like but my Jesus is real and there will always be updated arguments. Jesus is not disappearing, your faith is. Read C.S. Lewis, an atheist turned Christian. There will always be those who argue from an academic viewpoint and those who just argue! Anyone can build a website and express their opinion. I will not convince you of my view, I will leave that to God.

Ridiculous!
Even secular encyclopedias list Jesus as having lived on the earth.
I think if 300 or so people testify to a person's life on earth, he is positively said to have existed.
Hence, why Jesus is included in encyclopedias.

sorry, but the likelihood of Jesus's existance is far greater than the trumped up nonsense posted on your web adress.

Don't hate me because I disagree with you... One can believe Jesus existed and not be a Christian.

Jesus never did exist; Christianity is a big hoax.

Most learned theologians recognize this, but they work hard to keep it away from the faithful, as their livelihoods would disappear.

As for Josephus (who DID exist), it's been proven that the reference listed in his work was inserted 250 years after he died. And even with that, it doesn't mention Jesus, it mentions someone called 'Christus' which could have been anyone from the East Indian Krishna to the son of the Egyptian Osiris.

Oh well . . . next issue?
