I think any logical person would have to say that it is very possible it was a conspiracy but the truth of the matter is we don't have any hard evidence.

I believe the main purpose it was a conspiracy would be to give basis for the war in Iraq (obviously). They would need an event of enormous magnitude to begin such a large scale operation with the publics support, and 9/11 would fit that description perfectly.

On the other side of the argument, the Bush admin. may have just been feeling the same way many americans were feeling and wanted to exact revenge on the muslim nations that did this to us. They relied on very poor intelligence and began a war in Iraq. If the war was going well we may not have even been talking this much about conspiracy theories.

But what bothers me the most is that people won't even entertain the fact that there could have been a coverup involved. Some people put blind faith and trust in their leader's words not realizing that takes away from their liberty and puts the power into the hands of the gov't and away from the public. They don't realize there is just as much evidence one way as the other.

I personally saw 9-11 happen and although it is unquestionably the most horific single event in human history, we must learn from it to prevent it from happening in the future. Unfortunately, so many people think with closed minds it is bound to happen again. Wake Up People!

How can you say a thing like that! Are you anti American? Because if you are you are just as bad as the terrorists. Inocent lives were lost that day and you can't denigh how many peoples lives were lost! Do you have a heart of stone and no compasion with in your soul? The reason no luggage can be found because it burned up in the fire when it hit the towers! There is plenty of evedence to back up that it is true. The events of that day is why we are fighting. We are defending our selves and speeking up for people who are marginalized living on the edge of society and giving them a voice when no one elce will.

To answer some of the points that you raised:

1. Plenty of plane wreckage and body parts were found at the Pentagon

Clear wreckage of a plane was found & photographs were printed in all the papers. Here's a nice photo from 9/11 that clearly shows plane wreckage:

In addition the “American Society of Civil Engineers” & the “Structural Engineering Institute” (both are non-governmental) investigated the Pentagon crash. Their report is called "The Pentagon Performance Report" & it’s at:

The report contains color photos from the relevant Pentagon security camera which was going at 1 frame/sec. It shows a blurry shot of the plane.

The report contains abundant references to plane debris & body parts found in the Pentagon. For example, on page 26 it says:

“The remains of most of the passengers on the aircraft were found near the end of the travel of the aircraft debris. The front landing gear (a relatively solid and heavy object) and the flight data recorder (which had been located near the rear of the aircraft) were also found nearly 300 ft into the structure. By contrast, the remains of a few individuals (the hijacking suspects), who most likely were near the front of the aircraft, were found relatively close to the aircraft’s point of impact with the building."

The remains of the passengers were DNA matched to relatives.

2. Dozens, if not hundreds, of people stuck on I-395 saw the low-flying plane just before it hit the Pentagon
