If you mean the island (LANA'I), it's pretty laid back because there really isn't much there except two resorts and the workers who work at the resorts (and teachers and a health clinic and such). It used to be full of pineapples but the pineapple industry moved to Philippines and Costa Rica.
a LANAI can also be a patio or verandah.
