i am outraged by this question and i feel you need to be sent to pergatory. GOD is the meaning of life and if you don't truly respect that fact, than your life has no meaning and GOD will abandon you from his kingdom

People keep on wondering how it is possible that Jesus could be the son of God and God himself. Just because our human minds cannot fully understand the divine nature of God, it doesn't mean that its not true. The bible says that we are not sinners because we sin, we sin because we are sinners. That means that it is our nature, we are permanently and eternally separated from God. No simple human would have the capacity to save us from our un-ending, eternal sins because no human is eternal. Only God himself is eternal. Therefore our Savior, would have to be God himself, as a human, Jesus. The concept of the trinity can seem confusing but just think of water. Is water any different if it is a gas, liquid, or solid? No, it is always, molecularly the same, just with three different characteristics. Mr. "Rightious Indignation" asked if Jesus was God himself than why was he always talking about God as his is another person? Jesus spoke about God because, just like water, although Jesus and God are the same, they are also different. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, are the same person in three different states. Remember, you cant expect to fully understand everything. Our minds are limited, God is infinite. God created things that way he wanted, because he is God. There are things about the universe that we will just not be able to understand. Don't think we will ever be able to understand as much as God, cause we are not even close to him. This is where faith comes in, you need to trust God.

I always wondered this, even when I was a Christian. I always thought Jesus was trying to get people to believe in God and his way of doing things. I never picked up on him saying... Hey I'm God. I mean, if he was then why did he keep speaking about God as if it were someone else. My preacher could never explain that and eventually I ended up leaving the team. I hate when you ask someone a question in real life or on here and they answer it with a scripture or a verse from a gospel song.

i believe in god, i love him and worship him, ive read the old testament, not the new, that was wrote after jesus died so none of the words were his, all miracles he done were only wrote about by his decpiles, they could of quite easily exagerated the truth, and why would god create all the laws that he gave t moses if he was gona let some guy turn up and change them, god always says, his first commandment was never worship any other god or any false idols, christians worship jesus surely thats betraying god. and som1 said that only gods sonorgod could do these miracles performed by jesus, but wat about moses and the miracles he performed in egypt t save gods people, y would he entrust moses with the ten commandments, and no1 says he was god, and were all gods children, there was no christian faith till after jesus died, and the christian faith is a simple way t break laws and feel good after coz jesus died for there sins, i dont buy it.

Yeah, it's because some bloke named Jesus made it clear that He was God.

Jesus said...

John 10:30 I and the Father are one."

John 14:1 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

Revelation 22:12 "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. 15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star."

Since you obviously have no other form of expression than the vernacular (And it's several governments failure and society's fault for voting for them and not your fault) an idiomatic reply may reach you. In the Christian religion, it's like a faith, you believe it or say it's all bollocks, there are three geezers to cover all points. God, His Son and The Holy Ghost. It is not written that they swallowd. Some like to think that they spit.

As if Jesus was the only one to have achieved the resurrection. Did you know that Jesus had a rival who performed more miracles than He did around 22 A.D. The only reason Apollonius of Tynna isn't remembered is b/c he didn't die on the cross, although He did resurrect a government official once. Try looking at the lives of dozens and dozens of sages, like Kuan Yi, St. Bosco, Catherine of Sienna, Babaji...(the list goes on and on)...who were all fortold to be the 'son of God."

I understand it is a harsh reality to swallow and makes christians cringe (my favorite part), but WAKE UP people, Jesus often talked about "What miracles He can do, we will do and more." Surely we are too smart by now to continue to believe that a sole incarnation of God was sent to redeem a small group of tribal minded jews in the mediteranean. How utterly self-ish to say that He died on the cross to clear us of our sins so we could keep on perpatrating against Him? If that were true, then why do I keep doing them? Really, it's the lazy man's way out.

Jesus said a lot of really wise and truthful things in the bible but I can't think of the scripture where he says that he was God. Can anyone else?

Personal experience backed up by study. Jesus is the most modest person you could ever meet. He always allows people to make up their own minds about him, but he shows delight when they realise who he really is, 'Blessed are you Simon son of Jona, for flesh and blood have not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven.' Matthew 16v17.

In the OT it says that the glory of God is to conceal a word and the glory of kings is to search it out.

Oh my you're completely deceived via all the Jewish fables, hook line and sinker! in case you purely knew the reality. The "Yehuwdim" are no longer the choose. Yahweh is our Elohiym, no longer "God". Being chosen isn't a racial issue, that's set via faith. the way of Yahweh is the authentic faith and that's a similar one Avraham had, and which organic unique "christianity" become, in the previous its corruption. The "Yehuwdim" are no longer the Yahuwdim nor YisraEl anymore, they're the folk of Yehuwdah Iy-Ckryowtuw (aka "Judas Iscariot"), who bought their Sovereign off for the "good-looking value" of 30 products of silver per ZkharYahu ("Zechariah"), and whilst those have been thrown into the temple to the potter (to purchase the potter's field), Yahweh broke the bands of brotherhood between this human beings and YisraEl (thereafter time-commemorated as "Christianity"). your assumption the "Yehuwdim" are sorry or think of Yahuwshua become a "exceptionally good bloke" is incorrect, they might crucify Him as quickly as greater for a similar motives which you're blind to, in the event that they might. He spoke the call they censor, He uncovered their fake doctrines, He become Who He stated He become, and that they stopped being YisraEl whilst they rejected Him. He violated their traditions, and uncovered them as fake (and because then, they have exponentially greater suitable their traditions too). you need to examine scripture, somewhat. i'm sorry to assert you somewhat understand no longer something.
